Can you use friskvårdsbidrag for floating and IR sauna?

How the Swedish wellness allowance works, what it covers and how to pay with Benifex, Epassi or a receipt.

Friskvårdsbidrag is a tax-free wellness allowance many Swedish employers offer, up to 5 000 SEK per year. It can be used for exercise and simpler forms of wellness — and floating is one of the most popular ways to spend it.

How to pay

  • Benifex — pay directly through your employer's portal
  • Epassi — use your wellness balance at checkout
  • Receipt — pay as normal and email info@floatinspace.se for a receipt to send to your employer

Check with your employer

Each employer decides what their allowance covers, so check your company's policy — especially for sauna, which the Swedish Tax Agency does not always approve on its own.
