What the research says about floating & what is floating used for?
Dr. Justin Feinstein is a researcher in neuropsychology. He began his studies on floating in 2014. He became interested in this as it appears in 11 other studies that people suffer from a fear of being alone with their thoughts. In his own studies, he made similar discoveries as the swedish scientist Kristoffer Jonsson. The starting point was to treat a group with anxiety symptoms and compare before and after a floating session. Below is a graph that clearly shows the perceived effect the participants had on their symptoms. Feinstein concludes that by floating his participants have been given a chance to focus on breathing and heartbeat. Something that becomes more and more difficult in a world full of impressions.
